This Pontiac, Illinois solar installation came with a unique set of challenges and opportunities. The proximity to water required use of a boat to pour the concrete. Our friends at RAB Electric did an amazing job.

The home location on a narrow peninsula in a lake meant that all heating and cooking relied on electric and the home's average electric bill was $200/month and even higher in the winter months. 

A surveyor by trade, Stan Holzhauer wanted to find a creative ground mounting option that allowed him to face all of his panels true south. We were happy to work with him to design a plan to install the SunPower Equinox system. The ground mount style allows the panels to tilt to follow the sun, maximizing solar yield. As an added bonus, this tilt is remotely controlled by the homeowner to allow greater flexibility and access.
