Benefits of Solar Power

Reduces Your Electric Bill.

Most electrical utility companies in Illinois are offering a one to one credit for every kwH created and used. This is called net metering. You've heard the phrase, "make hay while the sun shines," right? We can work with you to design a system that produces enough in the warmer months to provide for more than what you will use then. That extra energy is used by your utility provider, who gives you credits to use when the sun isn't shining.

Government Tax Breaks and Incentives

Going solar has never been more affordable. In Illinois on residential units, we take advantage of a 30% Federal tax break and a Solar Renewable Energy Credit incentive often reducing the system to half price. Businesses have the extra incentive of your solar system being depreciable. For a residential installation, the typical payback time is less than 7 years and for commercial it is less than 5 years.

Boosts U.S. Energy Independence

The more solar power we generate, the less we need foreign oil and the closer we get to energy independence as a nation.

Puts Money in Your Pocket

A residential system in Illinois typically pays itself off in 5 years or less. A system owned by a business is even quicker, usually 3 years or less. After your system is paid off, money you had to previously spend on energy is money in your pocket! Did we mention that the panels have a life expectancy of 25+ years? Adding solar to your home/business is an asset.

Reduces Carbon Footprint

Solar is a practical solution to eliminating the waste products created by fossil fuel based energy sources. It’s renewable and affordable.
