GREAT NEWS! Net Metering Restored!

We’re excited to report that the ICC (Illinois Commerce Commission) just ordered Ameren to restore the conventional method to calculate Net Metering penetration, making it STILL AVAILABLE for new solar customers!

Net Metering is the process by which extra energy generated by your solar system is sold back to the utility company so that you are only billed for your “net” energy use. This money-saving practice is only offered to new solar customers with Ameren until there is 5% market penetration. They are currently calculating 1.43% so Net Metering won’t be offered for new solar customers forever.

PLUS, there is a $1,020 end-of-year rebate available from SunPower when you sign a contract in 2020 and have your solar installation in 2021.
