College Student Apartments Go Solar
This year we installed an 18kW on The Lodge II, a beautiful college student apartment near Illinois State University. Because this installation was for a newly constructed building we were able to run the conduit inside the walls, maintaining the design integrity of the building. It neatly comes out of the wall and down to the boxes (pictured below). However, the steep pitch of the roof, four stories up caused some challenges with installation of the racking structure that we use to mount solar panels. Thanks to our “get it done” determination and Casey at Augspurger Construction, we securely mounted those racks! Not only is this set up clean and efficient but you can see how amazing those panels look on that steep, beautiful roof! They are sleek and unobtrusive and are sure to save this business some major cash on utility bills.
